Staff Augmentation for a Custom Quality Control Platform

Fern brought us in as staff augmentation to build a quality control platform for Duviter, one of their clients. Duviter helps businesses manage sourcing, operations, and quality control for manufacturing in China and Southeast Asia, with its own teams on the ground in Asia and back home in Canada. We worked with Fern through regular feedback sessions to turn Duviter’s quality control process into a working application.

The need

Duviter’s inspectors carry out quality control visits at factories in Asia, and its Canada-based team relays the results to clients. Reports needed a shared system both sides could log into, instead of each team tracking its own records and reconciling them after the fact. Duviter also wanted its own clients to request inspections and check on results directly, instead of going through Duviter’s team for every update.

What we built

• Quality control reports. Teams in Asia and Canada log and review QC reports on the same inspection record, and clients can view their own reports as soon as they’re filed.
• Synchronized filters. Filtering by one field updates related fields automatically, so users can narrow down inspections without extra clicks.
• Scheduling and supplier creation. Clients request quality control inspections online, and staff manage supplier records directly on the platform.
• ID search. Any inspection or report can be pulled up by ID in seconds.
• User accounts and secure sign-in. Duviter staff and clients each get accounts scoped to what they’re allowed to see.
• Analytics dashboard. A chart view surfaces inspection volume and trends so Duviter and its clients can spot patterns without exporting data elsewhere.

The result is a platform Duviter’s teams in Asia and Canada use to manage quality control day to day, with clients logging in directly to request inspections and check results.
